General Scanning and Lumonics MergeWatertown, Mass.-General Scanning Inc. and Lumonics of Kanata, Ontario, Canada, have agreed to merge into a single company known as GSI Lumonics Inc. Charles D. Winston, president and CEO of General Scanning will become CEO of the merged business. Warren Scott Nix, former Lumonics president and CEO, will become president and chief operating officer. The merged companies account for sales of about $300 million. |
