Quad President
Ted Shoneck Adds Chief Executive Duties
Willow
Grove, Pa.-Ted Shoneck, president
of Quad Systems since 1998, has additionally been appointed
CEO. He joined Quad in 1997 as chief operating office in charge
of North American operations. Earlier Shoneck served as chief
operating officer for Cutting Edge Technologies, West Chester,
Pa.
Shoneck has also held executive posts
with KMI Surgical Products, West Chester, Pa. Earlier he served
in operations roles at Alcon Laboratories and Sharpoint Inc.,
both of Reading, Pa., and Borg-Warner Corp., Parkersburg,
W. Va.

Shoneck graduated with highest honors from
the University of Hartford, Conn., earning a bachelor's degree in
economics. He also earned a master's degree in business administration
from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania, Philadelphia.
Anneli Olila
Gets New Post
Franklin,
Mass.-Speedline Technologies has named
Anneli Olila to the new post of customer satisfaction program manager.
She was formerly customer satisfaction coordinator and executive
assistant to David Hill, vice president/GM of Speedline CAMALOT.
She will oversee a global customer research
initiative that will measure and monitor customer satisfaction to
improve Speedline's service and support.

Andersson
Given NSC's Top Sales & Marketing Job
Santa
Clara, Calif.-Roland Andersson has
been promoted to National Semiconductor Corp.'s senior vice president
for worldwide marketing and sales, based in Santa Clara.

Andersson was most recently regional vice
president for Europe, based in Furstenfeldbruck, Germany,
a post he held since 1997.
After joining NSC in 1983, he served in
a number of sales and marketing positions in Germany, the
UK and Sweden.
Anderson began his career in 1974, serving
with Siemens and General Instruments in Scandinavia and with
Beckman Instruments in Belgium. He holds a degree in electronics
engineering and a certificate in business administration.

Indium Corp. of America has promoted Patrick Ryan, David A. Preische
and Steve Redmond.
Alfonso Jose Herrera has joined ICA as a field
sales engineer for Mexico.
Ryan has been named Americas sales manager.
He was formerly Indium's regional sales manager for the Western
U.S.
Preische has been appointed manager for strategic
accounts. He was most recently Indium's European operations manager.
Redmond has been named European sales manager.
Residing in London, he was most recently Indium's Eastern U.S. sales

CS2 Announces
New Sales & Marketing Director
Brussels,
Belgium-Alain Solomon, former
global account director for Motorola in Paris, has joined
CS2 as director of sales and marketing. He reports to CEO
Steve Lerner.
Solomon joined Motorola in 1990 as a sales
engineer, moving up to sales manager and operations director
prior to his most recent assignment in Paris.
He earlier spent several years with Texas
Instruments helping develop TI's consumer and automotive business.

Brian Thomas
Joins Signetics as Sales Director
San
Jose-Brian Thomas has joined
Signetics High Technology Inc. as director of sales, reporting
to Greg Johnson, vice president of sales.
Prior to joining Signetics, Thomas was
program manager at Schlumberger Advanced Business Engineering
Resources (SABER), San Jose.
Before his SABER post, Thomas was technical
support manager for Schlumberger's ATE and IDS products, also
San Jose, where he was chartered with supporting two product
groups, including the market leading S9000 ATE product line.

Whitman, former director of operations at Pantronix, Fremont, Calif.,
has joined the DB Design Group as vice president of operations.

Researcher Awarded IEEE Medal
San
Francisco-Joseph Borel, former
director of design automation and integrated systems for STMicroelectronics'
Central R&D group, Geneva, has received the IEEE's prestigious
Third Millennium Medal.
The IEEE presented the award to Borel
at the International Solid-State Circuits Conference recently
for his pioneering work in system-on-a-chip technology.
Borel, who holds 27 international patents,
was appointed to lead ST's design automation activity when
the company was formed in 1987 through the merger of SGS Microelettronica
and Thomson Semiconducteurs.

has joined Heraeus GmbH as vice president for thick film and
SMT product lines worldwide.
Prior to joining Heraeus, Dr. Droste held
a number of posts at Bayer AG in Leverkusen, Germany. Most
recently, he was in charge of sales and technical marketing
