Visionscape Product Family Aimed at Process Control

Visionscape is the first complete machine vision system on a single PCI board for the Pentium-based PC, according to RVSI Acuity CiMatrix.
RVSI Acuity CiMatrix, an RVSI division, has introduced the Visionscape product family of hardware and software for improved process control on the assembly line.

Visionscape consists of modules targeted at BGA inspection, marking inspection, visual package inspection, molding inspection, die alignment and inspection and automatic identification and bar code reading.

Product capabilities are based on the PCI bus for Windows NT and are implemented as software modules running on the Acuity 2000 vision engine.

According to RVSI, the Acuity 2000 high performance vision processor delivers the functionality of a complete vision system in a single PCI bus slot on the host computer.
