Services Held for Industry Veteran Thomas Glenn Chandler, Ariz.-Services were held in December for Thomas "Tom" Glenn, 65, a veteran of the IC packaging industry. Mr. Glenn died on December 16, after a courageous fight with cancer. Mr. Glenn retired last year from Amkor Technology Inc., as vice president for advanced packaging technology, after more than 40 years in the semiconductor industry. For the past five years, Mr. Glenn worked for Amkor, building its patent portfolio. Earlier, he worked at industry giants Burroughs, Fairchild, Harris Semiconductor, the former Indy Elec-tronics and Motorola. Surviving him are his wife, Jeanice, two children and four grandchildren.
Douglas Dixon Joins Loctite Corp. in Key Solder Materials Position Industry, Calif.-Douglas Dixon has joined Loctite Corp. as product manager for solder materials, responsible for driving the growth and profitably of the company's Multicore solders in North, South and Latin America. In his earlier posts, he worked as a product manager at Universal Instru-ments and in application engineering at Speedline Technologies' CAMALOT Division. Maher earned an engineering degree from Northwestern University.
