Chip Chemical Industry Poised for High Growth in End-User Markets

Mountain View, Calif.—The U.S. semiconductor processing market is experiencing difficulty as maturing markets force chip chemical suppliers to address cost reduction, R&D, value-added services and globalization, according to research conducted by Frost & Sullivan.

Opportunities for suppliers, according to the research firm, will be found in high-growth end-user industries, such as chips geared toward automotive, computers, telecom, consumer electronics and industrial machinery. Intense competition develoed last year due to price pressure from customers as a result of reduced chip sales, the report says. www.frost.com
