Stand-Alone Dispensing System Handles Adhesives Automatically

The three-axis, stand-alone dispenser is operated by the company's proprietary MC2 control computer and is easily programmable in X, Y and Z axes, with a resolution of +- 0.125 mm and an accuracy of +- 0.075 mm. Repeatability is specified at +- 0.025 mm.
The unit is available with optional automated machine vision systems, automatic tip cleaning, automatic height sensing and custom tooling.

Surface Mount Assembly System for Large PC Boards
Zevatech has announced a new, automatic, high-precision surface mount assembly system, the FlexShooter 750X.
The 750X is the latest addition to the FlexShooter 750 class, and can populate circuit boards as large as 20 in. x 18 in. (510 mm x 460 mm) at a rated tact time of 0.25 seconds/component.
Placement heads on the 750X use vacuum nozzles to pick-up and release components, with user-programmable vacuum forces. The heads are positioned by an overhead X/Y gantry system driven by closed-loop AC servo motors with magnetic linear encoders.
The 750X handles components from 0402 chips to 23.5-mm long packages. Tape, stick and tray feeders are available and are compatible with Zevatech's new FlexMounter 760X as well as previous generations of Zevatech's 700 Series of FlexLine modules.
The FlexShooter is controlled via an embedded 32-bit micro computer. A multi-window operating system supports machine operation and production-program editing. The system can also be controlled with Zevatech's Host Line Computer (HCL) which can control an entire line of Zevatech placement machines.

Novastar Technologies Inc. has introduced a new line of batch washers for low-to-medium-volume PC board and stencil production requirements. Six models, designed for different applications, are available. All washers feature stainless steel chamber and cabinet, separate wash and drain pumps, heavy metals filter and upper and lower rotating spray wands.
High-end models offer 1/3 hp high-performance wash pump, separate DI water rinse input, chemical dosing pump, cleanliness monitor with alarm and three selectable wash temperatures.
